Trees are a fairly widespread symbol of mysticism throughout the world symbolizing a connection between the underworld, the Earth and the heavens. Trees play a vitally important role in the environment and are fundamental to life. They are also one of the most important sources of food for life on this planet, providing nectar, fruit, flowers and seeds and through providing a natural habitat are also homes to a great many species.
