So, following on from The Invisible Prison, my previous post, we come to the common experience of attachment to Ego and that is the experience of being hurt, or being rejected. This is something which I'm fairly confident that we've all experienced in some way in our lives. We've all been hurt. We've all been rejected. We'll all built walls around ourselves and put up barriers to protect ourselves from even more pain, trauma and suffering. This is how we ended up with an Ego to begin with.
This is where we get into the root or the heart of the answer as to why we are so concerned or preoccupied with ourselves, often at the expense of others around us.
