In the summer of 1612 a woman is on trial at Lancaster Assizes in Lancaster Castle in England. She is on trial for killing three men through witchcraft and is facing the death penalty. She is presented with a confession that she denies. Then a nine year old girl is brought into the court to testify against her. The girl bursts into tears as the woman screams at her desperately. The woman is taken away back to the dungeons. Once the woman is removed from court the girl climbs up onto a table and denounces the woman as a witch. The girl is the daughter of the woman on trial for witchcraft.
