This is going to be one of my more 'far out' blog posts - so you're going to have to indulge me. The subject for today is the planet Neptune, its astrological symbolism, and it's influence on culture and music. I'm creating this post to give you some context for the next post, about the so-called satanism of Led Zeppelin and the dark messages found in some of their songs. Whatever. Grab yourself a coffee, find a comfy chair if you're reading this on a tablet, and settle down. Neptune, associated with the 12th sign of the zodiac Pisces, the mutable Water sign, is associated with the unconscious or subconscious. In Roman mythology Neptune is the god of fresh water and the sea (corresponding to Poseidon in Greek mythology). It's associated with dreams, visions, unconditional love, confusion, and pretty much anything which cannot be explained. In a personal or individual horoscope or birth according to the sign and house and position of Neptune, together with aspects, indicates where rationality or logic doesn't apply in your life. read more
