Let's start with the cardboard sign of the homeless man here on the street. What do you think the words on the sign are implying?
You see on the one hand given the context of the environment, the words could imply that this man once had social status and was equal to you. No human being is ever defined by their societal labels or physical form, but many people think that they are. Many people forced to be street homeless were once office managers, chefs, business people, and some held important social roles.
But see on the other hand the sign could also imply that this man who is now street homeless is liberated from much of his social conditioning and is no longer enslaved to mainstream social and cultural values and it's various toxic ideologies. Personally I feel that becoming street homeless is such a harsh lesson in the reality of our social and cultural system, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. But you've got to admit that when it comes to a social issue such as homelessness and destitution such a paradox exists.
